Lily couldn't believe her eyes. The scene unfolding in front of her was a painful reminder of her own past. She had never talked about it to anyone, not even her mother. The memories came flooding back, as if a dam had burst open. She closed her eyes, trying to push the images away, but they wouldn't go. She had to do something.
Without thinking twice, Lily got up from her seat and ran towards the door. She didn't know what she was going to do, but she had to try. Her heart was pounding so hard, she could feel it in her throat. As she stepped out of the train, she saw the man pushing the girl towards a nearby bush. Lily knew she had to act fast.
She ran towards the man, screaming at him to stop. The man turned around, surprised to see a small girl running towards him. He smirked, thinking this would be an easy target. But Lily was determined. She didn't care if she got hurt, as long as she could save the girl.
The man tried to grab her, but Lily was quick. She dodged his hand and kicked him in the shin with all her might. The man stumbled, but regained his balance quickly. He lunged towards Lily, but she moved out of the way and punched him in the face. The man fell to the ground, dazed.
Lily ran towards the girl, who was crying and shaking. She hugged her tightly, telling her it was going to be okay. The girl looked up at Lily, and for the first time in a long time, Lily saw a glimmer of hope in her eyes. She knew what it was like to feel alone and helpless, and she didn't want anyone else to go through the same.
The police arrived soon after, and Lily explained what had happened. The man was taken into custody, and the girl was taken to a nearby hospital. Lily didn't know what would happen to her next, but she felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that she had made a difference in someone else's life.
As she boarded the train once again, Lily looked out of the window. The stars and the moon looked different now. They didn't seem so far away. She knew that there was a whole world out there waiting for her, and she was ready to explore it. There were still scars on her body, but she didn't feel like a victim anymore. She felt like a survivor.
